My Performance at NDC’s Youth Manifesto Launch is Strictly Business- OlivetheBoy Clarifies

OlivetheBoy responded to critics, explaining that his dedicated fans understand that his focus is on advancing his career and earning a living, and they stand by his decisions.

Fast-rising Ghanaian artiste, Olivetheboy, has responded to the controversies surrounding his recent performance at the just-ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Manifesto launch.

Speaking in a recent interview on Okay FM, the singer refuted the ongoing speculations on social media that suggested he was affiliated with the NDC. According to OlivetheBoy, he performed at the youth launch after receiving an invitation from Sharaf Mahama, son of former President John Mahama.

“I was hired to perform, just like I am billed at Afrochella or any other event. My performance is not tied to any political endorsement. It was strictly business. I see people bashing me on social media but I don’t care. I was only doing my job as an artiste,” he said.

“I see all the critics and I don’t even bother myself to respond, my fans will do that for me. I also have fans who know it’s purely business because I need to make some money,” he concluded.
