The police in the Asante Mampong Constituency have apprehended the spouse of a National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth organizer under suspicion of fatally stabbing him, many reports have said.
The victim, Osei Akoto (45) tragically lost his life upon reaching the hospital after being stabbed in the chest during a heated altercation.
According to neighbors, the deceased and his wife, who was identified only as Abigail, were known to engage in frequent disputes, with a particularly intense confrontation occurring on Thursday night, ultimately resulting in the fatal stabbing.
Abigail, who is suspected of carrying out the attack, is currently in police custody, while authorities probe further.

Hudu Mumuni Yahaya, representing the NDC in the Asante Mampong Constituency, has confirmed the incident, extending condolences and acknowledging the deceased’s contributions to the party’s local endeavors.
Osei Akoto, who leaves behind three children, has had his body transferred to the morgue for preservation and autopsy purposes.
