The award-winning Ghanaian gospel artiste and sound engineer, Nacee, has revealed that he has completed composing new campaign songs, for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the general elections in December.
In a recent interview on Angel FM, Nacee disclosed that the lyrics of the song would center on John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy initiative, aimed at reviving Ghana’s struggling economy.
The composer revealed that the party approached him in 2022 to create a new campaign song for the elections. He said the production of the song has been finalised and handed over to the chairman of the NDC, Asiedu Nketiah.
When asked about the high-profile NDC members who frequently approach him for songs, Nacee mentioned the likes of former President John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia, and Julius Debrah, who all seek to utilize his artistic talents for campaign songs and other political projects.

In addition, he noted that the party officials would be responsible for deciding when to release the songs.
“When I am done with my part, I submit it to them after which they will go through to see what they will also do. At the right time, they will release it.
The 25th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Gospel Artiste of the year revealed that he has written four campaign songs for the NDC, although the party requested six.
“I am making four songs this year, they sometimes demand for six since the various songs have different purposes they serve”, he added.
Despite his repertoire as a gospel musician, he is best known for writing hit songs for the National Democratic Congress. Nacee has released several hit songs, including “E Dey Be” for the NDC’s 2016 campaign and the popular songs “Onaapo” and “Okada” in 2020.
