Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has released an artwork and track list for her sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’.
The Grammy-nominated singer announced the album on social media, sharing a tracklist and artwork for her next release.
The album will feature artists from various countries around the world, including Nigeria’s Asake and Seyi Vibes, America’s Giveon and Coco Jones, and Brazil’s Anitta, among others.
Nigerian singer-songwriter, Ayrra Starr started her career at the age of sixteen with Quove Model Management, specialising in fashion, but eventually chose to focus on her musical career.
She got signed to Mavins record by Don Jazzy after he discovered a video of her singing.
In 2022, the singer achieved mainstream international recognition with the release of her song “Rush”.
The song earned Starr her first nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards. She also became the youngest African female artist to reach 100 million views on a single YouTube video, and the first to do so in five months.
