NPP delegates at Ejisu go to the polls tomorrow, Saturday, April 13, 2024, to elect a candidate to take the place of the late John Kumah.
John Kumah, aged 45, a Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, died after a brief illness, leaving behind a wife and six children.
Nine individuals aspiring to contest in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary in the constituency have been given the green light by the vetting committee.
Francis Adomako, Ashanti NPP Organiser said on radio that all measures have been put in place to ensure a successful poll.

He stated that “all the aspirants have gone round to deliver their message, venue, security and all preparations with regards to tomorrow’s (Saturday, April 13) event is on course.”
He assured that “everything that the party needs to do with regards to Saturday’s poll has been done. We are only waiting for the Electoral Commission to come and conduct the poll, so everything is under control”.
About 1,081 delegates are expected to cast their vote tomorrow.
