Opoku Prempeh's selection was long anticipated. Speculations had been rife, as polls that followed confirmed it all.

The National Council of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has approved Energy Minister, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, as the running mate of presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, paving the way for an official unveiling next week.
