Photos From Ghana’s 67th Independence Day Celebration

Themed “Our Democracy Our Pride,” the celebration took place at the newly commissioned 5,000-seater Koforidua Youth Resource Center.

On March 6, 2024, Ghana celebrated its 67th anniversary since attaining independence from colonial rule. This year’s ceremony was held in Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region.

Themed “Our Democracy Our Pride,” the celebration took place at the newly commissioned 5,000-seater Koforidua Youth Resource Center.

The event, attended by Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin and various diplomats, was also the region’s first-ever National Independence Day celebration.
