The Ghana Police Service has arrested a man who admitted on a radio programme that he had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old when he used to be a teacher at a school in Kumasi.
“Nana Poku Piesie alias Kwabena, who was seen in a viral video claiming to have had sexual intercourse with a minor. The suspect is in custody assisting police investigations,” a police statement said on Tuesday.

Since the video went viral, many including celebrities have condemned the revelations and called on authorities to cause an arrest.
“If I speak on this video now, you will say I hate men. You will ignore that this man openly bragged about sleeping with a 14-year-old on air. You will instead focus on my outrage or make it the 14-year-old’s fault for allowing this,” wrote actress Lydia Forson.

Reports also indicate the suspect is a radio presenter at Kumasi-based Sompa FM.
