One of my absolute favorite foods on this earth is tacos, and when I found out there was a Mexican restaurant right here in Accra that was woman-owned, I had to try it out.
Well, I’ve tried it out five times and will continue to be a regular because the food is amazing. This vibrant eatery is a haven for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts seeking authentic flavors and warm hospitality. Prepare to embark on a flavorful adventure that will leave you craving more!

Once you step into La Cocina Mexicana, it feels like you’ve been transported to the heart of Mexico with its lively ambiance and colorful decor. From the rustic wooden furniture to the vibrant murals adorning the walls, every detail exudes the spirit of Mexican culture. The lively atmosphere is perfect for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings with friends and family.

The service is always on par every time I dine here. From the warm welcome at the door to the prompt service throughout the meal, you’ll feel like part of the ‘familia’ from the moment you arrive.
Food Quality: 9/10
My go-to menu item is the carne asada tacos. On Tuesdays, there’s a deal of six tacos for GHC100. The tacos are absolutely delicious; the steak is very flavorful, topped with onions, tomatoes, and cilantro, and it comes in three different sauces spicy, mild, and a sweet-sour cream-style sauce. The menu has an impressive variety of Mexican dishes from quesadillas to nachos and even desserts like churros.
Price: 8/10
The pricing is a bit on the higher end but very reasonable considering the portion size and the quality of the food. For great deals, Taco Tuesday is the best day to visit. They also have really good drinks that are a whopping GHC60. What a deal!
