‘Shatta Wale Can Fill the 02 Arena If’ – Arnold Asamoah

Shatta Wale's management must be able to demonstrate his worth and ability to the promoters while also being willing to collaborate with them.

Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo has alluded that Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, should be able to fill the O2 Arena for a concert provided he secures the right promoters.

Speaking in an interview on Onua FM, Arnold said Shatta Wale possess the potential to fill the 02 Arena if he works with the right promoters in the UK, and he is confident in the artist’s ability and experience.

According to Arnold, while Shatta Wale has a large fan base in the UK and other parts of the world, his ability to sell out the O2 Arena goes beyond his popularity.

“Wale has been in the business for over 20 years, he is also popular in the UK, Dubai and other places but you see it goes beyond the praises and popularity we see. He has the catalogue and sword,” he added.

He continued by saying that in order for Shatta Wale to succeed, he should enlist the assistance of other promoters rather than depending solely on one.

“What he has to do now is to ensure he does not use one promoter. There is one promoter in the UK who can make that possible and that’s Live Nation, he can walk up to Live Nation and discuss his pedigree with them and for his managers to prove to Live Nation that this is what he can do,” he said.

He emphasised that with the help of other promoters in the UK such as Akwaaba and Allonia, Wale can easily sell out the O2 Arena.

Arnold added that in order for this to happen, Shatta Wale’s management must be able to demonstrate his worth and ability to the promoters while also being willing to collaborate with them.

His comment follows rapper Medikal’s sold-out concert at the O2 Indigo on Friday, May 3.
