Ghanaian artistes Sarkodie and Shatta Wale have earned nominations in this year’s edition of the Urban Music Awards.
They have been nominated in the Artist of the Year Africa category.
Diana Hamilton also got a nomination in the Best Gospel Act category.
Beyonce’s ‘Already’ which features Shatta Wale also got two extra nominations: Best Single and Best Collaboration.
The nominees were announced today (Thursday), August 26, 2021.
The18th edition of the awards will be held on the 20th of September in London, United Kingdom.
Drake earned three nominations for Best Single ‘Wants and Needs’, Artist of the Year USA, and Most Creative Artiste.
Ye also gets a spot in the nomination for breaking the Apple Music Livestream record and the creative activities that garnered a lot of success in the lead-up to his album release.
