Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has appealed to Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure prosperity and progress, as he says the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would lead the nation into destruction.
Speaking at the NPP’s Manifesto launch in Takoradi, on Aug 18, 2024, Prince David Osei commended the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his notable achievements, particularly the significant digitalisation strides made under the NPP, including the successful implementation of the Ghana Card and the digital address system.
According to Prince David Osei, if given another term, the NPP will usher in economic progress, citing the poor economic conditions in other countries.
“A vote for the NPP is a vote for posterity. I know times are hard but it is global. The UK is just recovering from a recession, America is tough, Canada is tough, and our neighbouring country Nigeria is equally tough,” he added

He also pleaded with Ghanaians to recall the reliefs and support provided by the NPP government during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, including free unrestricted electricity and water supply, as well as financing small businesses. Prince David Osei warned that voting for the NDC and other parties would not be the antidote to economic recovery.
“The alternative is not the solution. The alternative will send us into an abyss of disaster. Vote for progress, Vote Bawumia, Vote Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the incoming president,” he remarked.
