The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed the names of musical figures who will be inducted in 2024.
The announcement was made on Sunday [April 21] during the “American Idol” episode titled “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night.” The inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame were chosen from nominees announced earlier this year.
To be considered for a nomination, artists, bands, or individuals must have made their commercial debut in the music industry at least 25 years ago. Cher, Kool & The Gang, Foreigner, and Peter Frampton are among the half of the nominees in the performance category this year who are up for their debut nomination.
Oasis, Sade, Eric B. & Rakim, Mariah Carey, and the late Sinéad O’Connor are among the artists who were nominated for the 2024 induction but did not make the cut.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (RRHOF), or simply the Rock Hall, is a museum and hall of fame in Cleveland, Ohio. The museum documents the history of rock music and the artists, producers, engineers, and other significant personalities who have influenced its development.
The live induction ceremony for the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, in Cleveland, Ohio.
The 2024 ceremony will be streamed live on Disney+, followed by a special on ABC and Hulu the following day.
