Vice President Bawumia Launches 3i Africa Summit, Highlights Digital Transformation

At the 3i Africa Summit launch in Accra, Vice President Bawumia emphasized digital transformation's necessity for Africa, announcing a Fintech Innovation Fund to support startups and drive economic and social development.

The Vice President of Ghana and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, on February 26, officially inaugurated the first-ever 3i Africa Summit in Accra.

The event, themed “Innovation, Investment, Impact,” aims to foster collaboration and peer learning among key players and stakeholders in the digital landscape.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the summit’s role in facilitating a platform for brainstorming and strategizing on how Africa can expedite its journey toward a comprehensive digital revolution.

During the summit’s press launch, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the critical role of fintechs in spearheading Africa’s digital transformation. He pointed out that fintechs not only catalyze innovation within the digital sphere but also create the financial infrastructure necessary for funding such advancements.
