The Volta regional minister, Archibald Yao Letsa, has called on members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region to be united and work together for victory ahead of the 7 December presidential and parliamentary elections.
Speaking at an inauguration ceremony of a 39-member Volta regional campaign team for Mahamudu Bawumia in Ho, the regional minister said the 2024 election is not about individualism, hence the need to join forces and have a united front.
“From now until 7 December, it’s not about you or me. It is not about us, we don’t matter anymore, what matters is Dr Bawumia becoming president. So let us come together and work together,” he said.
The minister further said the members in the region must know that they have an opponent to oppose in the region so it is vital to be united and not divided.

“It is about us realising that we’ve got opponents to target our attention and energy against. So we must unite as one people, as a team poised for action because the people that we are going to talk to will like to see whether we’re together,” he added.
Letsa also noted that it is the joy of President Akufo Addo to hand over power to his vice-president on 7 January 2025, adding that it is an agenda that must be fulfilled.
“So let us come together in unity so that we fulfil the agenda for our president.”
