A new surveillance footage showing American rapper Sean Combs, better known as P.Diddy, physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura has surfaced online.
The footage which was originally obtained by CNN, dated March 5, 2016, backs up Ventura’s claim in her initial lawsuit where she claimed Combs punched her in the face while she was staying at a Los Angeles hotel.
The footage captured by a surveillance camera in the hotel, showed Combs wearing a white towel, chasing after Ventura, he proceeds to grab her by the back of the neck and throws her to the floor punching and kicking the R&B singer. Still holding his towel closed with one hand, he then turns to stomp her. From a different angle, the “Coming Home” hitmaker threw a vase in her direction.

Ventura filed a lawsuit against Combs in Nov 2023, alleging physical assault and sexual abuse. However, she dropped the case after agreeing to an out-of-court settlement the next day. Attorneys for Combs have not responded to the circulating video, but he has previously denied all of the allegations in the lawsuits.

Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s attorney who has filed other lawsuits against Combs, stated that the video has confirmed Cassie’s allegations against the rapper.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” he said.
Since Nov 2023, Sean Combs, whose location and whereabouts remain unknown has faced five additional civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct and other illegal activity.
In April 2024, authorities raided Combs’ homes in Florida and California as part of a federal investigation led by a Department of Homeland Security team looking into human trafficking crimes. A senior federal law enforcement official claims that the investigation is a result of the claims of sexual assault against Combs in the civil lawsuits.
