Nigerian social media entrepreneur, Clara Chizoba Kronborg, has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest interview in 55 hours and 24 seconds.
With experience as a former YouTube talk show host, Clara interviewed 90 people, including politicians, business owners, content creators, actors, real estate agents, and sat through all those long hours wearing adult diapers to compensate for drinking lots of water.
“My voice became very hoarse and rusty. Even worse, my period started the same day, and I was already having intense menstrual cramps. At some point, I was literally dripping pee and period stain, but I persevered and kept my eyes on the goal,” she is quoted by the Guinness World Records to have said.
The record attempt took place on a docked yacht in the Spanish city of Marbella, where she currently lives.

As with all ‘longest marathon’ record attempts, Clara accrued five minutes of rest time after each hour of interviewing; only during these breaks was she permitted to nap, change her clothes, or go to the bathroom, the Guinness World Records said.
With her new record of 55 hours and 24 seconds, she beats the previous record held by US citizen Rob Oliver, who did so at 37 hours 44 minutes in 2022.

Clara also joins a growing list of Nigerians who have recently been successful at breaking Guinness World Records. Last year, Nigerian cooking sensation, Hilda Baci was awarded a certificate from the Guinness World Records for her more than 90-hour cooking marathon. Although she was dethroned five months later, attempts by other Africans, including Ghanaians, to break that particular world record were not successful.
