Actress Mercy Asiedu Endorses Mahama, Urges Industry to Follow Suit

Mercy Asiedu has urged her colleagues and attendees to consider Mahama’s past contributions when casting their votes in the upcoming elections.

Ghanaian Actress, Mercy Asiedu, has openly pledged her support for the 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking at a gathering in Accra that brought together prominent figures in the creative arts industry to meet former President John Mahama, the Kumahood actress praised Mahama’s support for the creative sector during his administration. She specifically highlighted his generosity in gifting cars to some of her colleagues who had previously been without cars.

“It is through his good ways that some people in the creative arts industry felt good. Some who had no cars got cars. So I beg you, let’s rally support for Mahama. He will do it because he has done it before,” Mercy Asiedu said.

She also stated that the business ventures of some of her colleagues received significant support from Mahama, and expressed her confidence that, if elected president in the 2024 elections, Mahama would contribute massively to reviving and boosting the growth of the creative arts industry.
