13 Arrested for Illegal Land Development at Teshie Military Shooting Range

Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover told journalists that the unauthorized structures would be demolished soon, and authorities would look to identify who sold the land to the occupants

The police have arrested 13 individuals for illegally filling and developing areas within the Laboma and Teshie Military shooting range, situated in the Kpeshie Lagoon area of La Dade-Kotopon municipality in Greater Accra.

The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) conducted an inspection and discovered that some portions of the Kpeshie Lagoon had been filled in, with various structures under construction, many reports said.

The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover told journalists that the unauthorized structures would be demolished soon, and authorities would look to identify who sold the land to the occupants.

“The arrests were made to identify the owners of these structures. Many of those apprehended are just workers who claim they were sent here to work. Those in custody will go through the legal process, and they must reveal who sent them,” he explained.
